we need a tribe ad!! can you make it?

I would do it if I had any sort of graphics program on my little puter and if I werent' in the midst of a cross country move from San Fran to Toronto...

The deal with tribe banner ads is that it's free to advertise a tribe, the ad can't be over 15K and must be within the 160x600 banner dimensions and be in .gif or .jpg format. Apparently animation is okay, but no "extreme flashing" nor audio.

At this point the tribe ads are free if the ad points back to a tribe, our url is http://walkhomesafe.tribe.net

I think that the only way this tribe will work is to get more people involved and a tribe ad is the easiest way to do that. Anyone want to take this on?

how this could work

I'm hoping that this will become a link up point for those who want to be walked home and those that are willing to escort. I have already been asked if it's just for SF, but heck, let's try the whole Bay area and see how it goes.

In the subject if you need a walk put the date and where you are then let us know a bit about yourself in the message. I think through tribe and seeing who the escorts are related to in our friend pool will provide us with the ability to judge if that person is a good escort for us.

If you do volunteer to escort and are turned down, please do not take this personally! it is the other person's deciscion and they may have reasons that you will never understand. Don't let this stop you from offering again.

If you are in need of a walk home, perhpas you might offer the escort an appetizer from the great menu where you work or a drink on your bill. I think there is a possibility for us to meet some great people out there with a new twist!

thanks!
